A national network of food businesses — restaurants, farms, cafes, bars, wineries, farmers markets, social enterprises — that promote Slow Food values of good, clean and fair food for all.  The goal of the network is to stimulate greater support for these important businesses—by eating, participating, volunteering, patronizing, donating, and spreading the word.

Businesses complete an application and schedule an interview or visit with the Northern New Jersey Slow Food chapter. The Snail of Approval award will be granted based on the application and interview.

The Slow Food USA national chapter then manages a national directory of Snail of Approval awardees. As an awardee you will be:

• Listed on national awardee map and directory
• Highlighted in national marketing campaigns and events
• Spotlighted on local chapter email blasts, social media, and networking events

2. Once your application is received, the Northern New Jersey Slow Food Chapter will reach out to schedule an interview or site visit.
